So I would like some kind of confirmation before I go that route. I realize that Superior Drummer 3 is supposed to be used with the Alesis brand drums, and I would love to believe the midi would work flawlessly, however I don’t want to spen $399 on that damn piece of software and find that it wont work for me. Or at least very MINIMAL adjustments needed? I would say that this issue almost makes Roland worth the extra dough in some situations, though even with the new Roland kits that just came out, the 17 etc, I am still very happy with my choice. This isn’t a huge deal for certain instruments like the Toms and snare as they can be remapped, however the hi hats are really a pain in the but to be remapped because of the pedal controls and the different sounds as you open close etc. however, I find that when I use DAW’s like addictive drums 2, the midi mapping is always wrong. From there, open the User MIDI Files folder. Open AD1, click the small sign in the top right corner and select 'Open the AD User Folder'. Right, as the guy behind the mapping I need to tell you however, that, anything not documented in the Key layout PDF for a particular kit can be found elsewhere between note 21 and 65. Empty drum machine is mapped to Addictive Drums 2 drum map, so drum lanes show kitpiece articulation names from Addictive Drums 2 in the MIDI drum editor by default.
